Make a photo strip for Instagram Stories

Turn a few event, travel, or friend photos into one vertical strip that is easy to share in Stories without uploading the originals.

Start with a tight set

Pick three or four photos that belong together. A photo strip works best when the images share a moment, color mood, or small story rather than trying to include everything.

1

Build the strip

Open Photo Strip Maker, add your photos, choose the Story strip or classic vertical preset, then reorder the frames.

Adjust fit and style

Use zoom and position controls so faces or key details sit comfortably in each slot. Add a short title or date only if it helps the memory.

Compress before sharing

If the exported PNG or JPG is too large for messaging or posting, run the finished strip through Image Compressor.

Before posting

  • No private details are visible in the photos
  • The title and date are short enough to read on mobile
  • The preview matches the downloaded image
  • The final file is small enough for your app
Do I need to use Instagram's exact Story size?

The Story strip preset uses a 9:16 canvas. Classic strips can also be shared, but Instagram may add padding or crop depending on how you place them.

Can I make a wider strip instead?

Yes. Use the wide 3 strip for chats, headers, or horizontal sharing rather than Stories.

Does this workflow upload my photos?

No. Photo Strip Maker and Image Compressor process supported images locally in your browser.
