Convert iPhone HEIC photos for upload

When a website rejects an iPhone photo, convert it to JPG first, then compress or resize only if the destination has a file-size limit.

Start with the requirement

Check the upload page before changing the file. If it asks for JPG under a maximum size, convert to JPG first and compress only after you see the result.

1

Convert HEIC to JPG

Open HEIC Converter, add your `.heic` photos, choose JPG, and export clean browser-readable copies.

Compress only if needed

If the portal has a size limit, run the converted JPG through Image Compressor and compare the preview before downloading.

Create a PDF when requested

If the destination wants a PDF instead of an image, arrange the converted photos with Images to PDF.

Upload checklist

  • Output format matches the form
  • File size is under the portal limit
  • Orientation looks correct
  • Visible private information is cropped or covered
  • Original HEIC is kept separately
Should I choose JPG or PNG?

Use JPG for most uploads. Choose PNG only when the destination specifically wants PNG or another editor needs it.

Does this workflow upload my photo to Pixlery?

No. Supported conversion and compression run locally in your browser.

What if conversion fails?

Try exporting the photo as JPG from the Photos app or use a desktop browser with more memory.
