Convert HEIC photos locally

Add iPhone HEIC or HEIF photos, choose JPG, PNG, or WebP, and export browser-readable copies without uploading the images.

Local conversion: files stay in this browser session.

How to use this tool

1

Add HEIC photos

Choose `.heic` or `.heif` files from an iPhone, iPad, or another camera app.

2

Pick the output

Convert to JPG for uploads, PNG for editing copies, or WebP for web use. Quality controls apply to JPG and WebP.

3

Download clean copies

Pixlery re-encodes the visible pixels locally, so embedded GPS and camera metadata are not copied to the export.

Built for predictable results

Built for iPhone uploads

Turn HEIC photos into formats accepted by forms, school portals, resumes, e-commerce dashboards, and older apps.

Local first

The HEIC decoder runs in your browser session; Pixlery does not receive the selected photos.

Honest limits

Live Photo video tracks, HDR fidelity, and every HEIC variant are not promised. Unsupported files fail with a readable message.

Frequently asked questions

What is HEIC?

HEIC is a compact photo container used by iPhone and some Android cameras. It saves space, but many websites still ask for JPG or PNG.

Does Pixlery upload HEIC photos?

No. Supported HEIC conversion runs locally in the browser. The page may load decoder code, but the selected image file is not sent to Pixlery.

Which output should I choose?

Choose JPG for most upload forms, PNG when another editor needs a pixel copy, and WebP for web images when your platform accepts it.

Are Live Photos supported?

No. This tool converts the still image. It does not extract or convert the video track from Live Photos.
