What is HEIC?

HEIC is a compact photo container used by iPhone and some Android cameras. It saves space, but many websites still ask for JPG or PNG.

Does Pixlery upload HEIC photos?

No. Supported HEIC conversion runs locally in the browser. The page may load decoder code, but the selected image file is not sent to Pixlery.

Which output should I choose?

Choose JPG for most upload forms, PNG when another editor needs a pixel copy, and WebP for web images when your platform accepts it.

Are Live Photos supported?

No. This tool converts the still image. It does not extract or convert the video track from Live Photos.

When a website rejects an iPhone photo, convert it to JPG first, then compress or resize only if the destination has a file-size limit.

HEIC keeps phone photos small, but many upload forms still expect JPG or PNG. Convert only when the destination cannot accept the original file.
